The Year in Review: A Letter from Our Leadership Team

Home News & Blogs The Year in Review: A Letter from Our Leadership Team

2025 was a year that proved everything we’ve been building toward. More satisfied customers. More new features shaped by their expert teams. But more importantly, we’re working with the best and brightest organizations in cybersecurity globally, and they’re telling us they see something in CounterCraft that meets their needs and that they don’t see anywhere else.

That means everything to us.

We’re Bringing Deception Back

The market is changing fast. Geopolitical tensions and conflicts mean defense investment is happening everywhere in a sector that has always been a focus for CounterCraft. We’re uniquely positioned to serve organizations that want to be prepared, not just reactive.

Here’s something interesting: when we started the company, our original tagline was “Detect. Collect. Manipulate.” At the time, it was aggressive for many security teams. Ten years later? That positioning is exactly what our clients want. They want to know how to engage with threat actors, how to maximize the time adversaries spend in decoy environments and anticipate their objectives and next move. We are the only security company globally with that depth of engagement knowledge, and that’s why global defense organizations are eager to work with us. Our deception isn’t just detection.

Even conservative sectors are looking to be more active now. “Detect and respond” is now the past. Organizations want to be one step ahead. Gartner tells us they’re being asked globally about proactivity, and we’ve been building proactive deception for a decade.

A Year in Good Company

We work with some of the world’s leading organizations. The best and the brightest in cyber. The ones tracking threat actors with knowledge that never goes public. They see something in us they don’t see in other companies, a real validation of our technology.

Multiple global organizations have told us we delivered their best vendor onboarding experience ever. Our sales team, with decades of experience in the banking sector globally, has been averaging 54 flights per person this year, building relationships that have become genuinely symbiotic and strategic.

The recognition has been gratifying. We were named Cybersecurity Company of the Year at the Global Business Tech Awards and selected as one of Analytics Insight’s top 10 AI startups revolutionizing 2025. We were accepted into Google’s Startups Growth Academy for AI in Cybersecurity, a highly selective program that’s accelerating our AI development and giving us access to Google’s latest advancements. And we have spoken at many events in the US, Europe, Australia and Asia.

Our customers tell us they are blown away by the product. They’re looking back now, realizing they were early adopters of something that’s fundamentally changing how security works.

AI with Actual Vision

Everyone’s asking about AI. At CounterCraft, this is more than a buzzword or a marketing exercise. We’re incorporating AI with clear purpose, a vision, and added value.

This month, we’re launching v4.3 with AIDA, our AI-powered deception suite that fundamentally changes how you build, deploy and maintain deception campaigns. AIDA automatically generates credible campaigns ready to engage with threat actors. This is the first major step toward zero-touch campaign deployment, letting AI handle the tedious work while our customers focus on strategy. In our next releases, AIDA will be able to autonomously make decisions in real-time that will maximize the quality of the collected threat intelligence.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Next year, our growth will continue. We’re establishing a center of excellence in the Middle East and Asia Pacific. We’re adding headcount across all departments because the opportunity ahead of us demands it.

We’re developing a new course on threat actor engagement methodologies: how to engage, how to make deception active rather than passive. This complements our already popular Deception Academy; when you work with CounterCraft, you get software plus knowledge. You get expertise in threat actor engagement.

We remain focused on what’s made us successful: consistent messaging, consistent strategy, consistent quality.

We remain focused on what’s made us successful: consistent messaging, consistent strategy, consistent quality. We continue working with top governmental organizations to make their countries more secure and Fortune 500 organizations to help them be one step ahead. We’re continuing our work securing Critical National Infrastructure while addressing emerging challenges in Operational Technology security with solutions that are easy to deploy and ruthlessly versatile.

We’re incredibly grateful to our customers, partners, and team. You’ve made 2025 transformative. You’ve made 2026 not just possible, but positioned to be way better than anything we’ve done before.

Wishing everyone a happy, prosperous and safe 2026!
