We are thrilled to announce a new member of our board of advisors: Kevin Rogers. Our newest Strategic Advisor, Kevin has had a long career in startups and the federal and government sectors. He is an incredibly effective advocate for new technology across the board, skilled at detecting pain points and matching them with the tech that can help.
He is a cybersecurity veteran and serial founder, bringing decades of cybersecurity experience in various companies with expertise in cryptology, malware detection, cybersecurity, cloud, and cybersecurity training.
Kevin Rogers is the Founder and Managing Partner of Cyber Advisory Partners (CAP) LLC, which he founded with the goal of partnering with leaders to launch and guide cyber innovation to its end destination. CAP helps innovative start-ups gain access to seasoned technologists, financial management and business experts and works side-by-side with them to provide strategic insight, direction, and execution to drive stellar business growth leading towards an exit strategy. The company currently works with financial institutions in cybersecurity to provide comprehensive market assessments and technology assessments to help reduce the risk associated with an investment while providing clear guidance on the value proposition of each company and its unique IP.
CounterCraft Chief Growth Officer Amyn Gilani praises the strategic partnership, saying “Kevin Rogers brings a wealth of experience helping niche cybersecurity start-ups gain traction and adoption in the federal government. Kevin will be instrumental in helping position CounterCraft to forward-thinking organizations, and create opportunities for them to harness the power of deception tech. We’re simply excited.”
In his previous experience, Kevin was founder and CEO of Cypherpath, Inc, which was acquired by ManTech International. He led product line and software development, building the company into a market leader against VMWare.
Kevin brings a wealth of experience in growing startups and connecting them to support growth. Cyphersphere, a services company Kevin founded in 2018, won contracts across the US government thanks to its advanced support for demands in the area of cyber warfare and technologies. Kevin will collaborate with CounterCraft’s leadership team on the business’s strategic growth plans, especially focused on how they fit into the federal sector.
“I am extremely excited to work with the game changing team at CounterCraft. I recognize unique capabilities when I see them,” Kevin said, commenting on the partnership. “CounterCraft’s cyber deception platform is so easy to deploy, manage, and gather relevant insights so any organization can build a strong proactive threat intelligence capability to drastically reduce the time-to-detect from weeks to minutes. Lastly, I think their cloud based solution is a game changer, it removes the internal resource barriers so an organization can start campaigns the same day they sign-up.”
Prior to Cypherpath and Cypherspere he led the federal sector division at Global Knowledge for 10 years. During his tenure, he led a contractor team at the NSA National Cryptologic School to build and deliver the infamous “code breakers track”. Additionally, he led the development and delivery of cybersecurity training programs and scaled operations to provide over 100,000 training days to the US military and federal civilian agencies globally.
