Location: Singapore
Contract: Direct hire / full-time position

While the role is primarily remote, candidates must be currently based in Singapore and able to attend in-person meetings when required. Occasional travel within the Asia Pacific region may be required.

 

Mandatory Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR).  We do not provide visa or Employment Pass sponsorship for this role. Candidates must have valid work authorization and be available to commence employment immediately.
  • Must be currently living in Singapore
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Singapore without visa sponsorship
  • Must have 0–2 years of technical experience only
  • Must have a technical degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or equivalent

This is a strictly entry-level technical engineering role. Senior profiles and consultants will not be considered.

CounterCraft is looking for an Associate Technical Engineer (Cybersecurity) to join our Singapore team. This is an entry-level engineering position designed for junior technical professionals with 0–2 years of experience who want to develop deep technical expertise in cybersecurity and deception technology.

This role focuses on technical engineering, system configuration, technical validation, and cybersecurity platform support. It is not a consulting or senior presales position.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation and is motivated to grow as a cybersecurity engineer in a real-world technical environment.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support technical deployment, configuration, and validation of cybersecurity platforms
  • Assist in preparing and delivering technical product demonstrations
  • Provide technical presales support to the commercial team throughout the sales cycle
  • Prepare and deliver bespoke technical product presentations, demos, and workshops to prospective and existing customers
  • Support technical training and enablement for customers and internal teams
  • Collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Contribute to the technical design and elaboration of customer proposals, RFPs, and technical documentation
  • Act as a technical point of contact and lead during proof-of-concept (PoC) activities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, with a focus on deception-based security solutions
  • This is a hands-on technical engineering role.

 

Required Technical Skills

Familiarity with cloud environments and enterprise security architectures
Mandatory:

  • Technical degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
  • Basic knowledge of:

    • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
    • Linux operating systems
    • Cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Strong technical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in technical environments

 

Preferred:

  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Internship, lab, or hands-on cybersecurity experience
  • Exposure to cybersecurity tools or environments
  • Cybersecurity certifications (e.g. Security+, CEH, vendor-specific certifications)
  • Experience supporting PoCs or customer pilots

 

Experience Requirements

  • Strictly 0–2 years of professional technical experience
  • Suitable for recent graduates / Junior engineers / Candidates with internships or early technical roles

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of professional experience in cybersecurity (SOC, security engineering, consulting, or presales roles)
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (network security, endpoints, threats, detection, response)
  • Exposure to or strong interest in deception technologies (honeypots, lures, attack detection, threat intelligence)
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong collaboration skills and interest in working closely with sales teams
    • High level of written and verbal communication skills in English, able to present to customers in English when required.
